Privacy policy

The short version

By default we do not receive your bank statements. The conversion happens inside your browser, and the files and the data extracted from them stay on your device. There is one optional exception, described below: AI scan.

What we do not collect

• Your PDF files, their contents, or the spreadsheets generated from them (except for AI scan, below)
• PDF passwords
• Account numbers, names, balances or transactions

AI scan (optional, consent required)

If you choose AI scan for a scanned statement and tick the consent box, your browser sends images of its pages (not the PDF file, not its password) to our processing function, which forwards them to Anthropic's Claude API to read the transactions and returns the result to you. We do not store the images or the extracted data. Anthropic processes the images under its own terms and retention policy. Do not use AI scan for documents you are not permitted to share. AI scan is limited to 5 scans per visitor per day; to enforce that we keep a per-day counter against your IP address, which expires within about a day. Private on-device OCR never sends anything and has no limit.

What is stored on your device

Only your light/dark theme preference, in your browser's localStorage. Statement data is held in memory only and disappears when you click "Wipe everything" or close the tab.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard request logs (for example IP address, time and requested page) for security and reliability. These logs never include your documents. Documents are not sent to us at all, with the single exception of page images you choose to send for AI scan, which our function processes without storing.

Third parties

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It receives standard page-view data such as the page visited, referrer, approximate location and device or browser type, and may set cookies. It never receives your documents or their contents. The site loads no other third-party fonts, trackers, ads or embeds. If you choose AI scan, Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot check, when enabled) and Anthropic (AI scan processing) are involved.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you or your documents, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For questions, visit our contact page.
